Year 4

                                                                                                                     13th July 2020

Dear Parents,

It has been an unprecedented Summer term and it is incredible to think that our last normal school day was back on the 20th March. It has been a long and at times difficult journey for many of us. A comforting feeling is the overwhelming support we have had from parents during this time and the way you have helped and encouraged your children with their learning has been amazing. As a school we thank you so much and we hope that the learning experience together with your children has been both rewarding and insightful.

This week the work set is slightly different to previous weeks as it is the time of year where we think about transitioning to our new classes.

You will all receive an email which will include a video link with an introduction to your child’s new class teacher and details of specific transition activities which need to be completed ahead of the new term.

In addition, other home learning which needs to be completed is detailed in the Home Learning Overviews on your child’s class page.

Reading

Please encourage your child to continue with their reading over the summer holidays. Details of a Summer Reading Challenge is included in this week’s work.

We know how hard the children have been working and we are looking forward to seeing their home learning projects when we return to school.
