Welcome

Welcome to Hazlemere Church of England Combined School

It is a privilege to serve as Headteacher in such a wonderful school, full of happy, well-behaved children, who are a joy to teach, where every pupil is recognised as an individual and where we aim for all to reach their potential. We believe that every child has a talent and can experience success as they grow and develop through the supportive and caring environment we provide.

We have extremely dedicated and supportive staff, who work hard to provide the best opportunities for all of our children in a safe and happy environment.

Our school improvement strategies over the last few years have ensured our attainment levels are above national and the Bucks average, as shown through our reported data. We are without a doubt a consistently respectable school offering a well-rounded education. We have worked to establish an ethos where we strive for high academic standards while ensuring that children are offered a broad, balanced, stimulating and ambitious curriculum. We place value on the importance of forming positive and constructive relationships within the school, and aim to support all children to achieve their potential and to have high aspirations in everything they do.

We pride ourselves on putting the child at the centre of our educational vision with a clear shared ethos, supporting children to be successful. We are forward thinking, creating and developing our book based curriculum and environment to provide our pupils with experiences which capture their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

We are extremely proud that our children achieve extremely well in all academic areas. Whilst academic attainment is a huge focus for our school, our belief and success are also founded a far wider variety of aims embed within our Christian ethos.

We strive to create a learning environment where children have fun. Our Vision “To grow in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men’ underpins our goal for our children to be the very best they can be. Relationships, attitudes, and behaviour are very positive and the ethos exists in which learning together becomes an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for all. This instills confidence, resourcefulness and a willingness to learn. It gives the children a solid stepping stone to take responsibility for their learning, behaviour and the confidence to keep improving. We aim to provide the very best education and experiences to prepare them for the next steps in life.

Christian values underpin all that we do at Hazlemere Church of England Combined School. We are proud to be a Church School reflecting Christian values in the way we interact with each other and within the community.

As a school, we are always looking for new ways to improve and grow. Our staff, coupled with supportive parents and governors, contribute greatly to the success of our school. We all work together with a common goal, to ensure that our children are happy and successful in their primary years.
