Summer Term 2026

Welcome back! We can hardly believe that it is the Summer term! We hope you had a refreshing Easter break, and managed to enjoy some of the gorgeous sunshine.  Here we are, ready for another fantastic term, filled with lots of exciting opportunities, including watching caterpillars turning into butterflies, duck eggs hatching and an outing to Highworth to participate in some sports.

Our topic this term is "Nature Detectives" and we can't wait to get into our garden to enjoy the signs of Spring and Summer.

Please click here for our Summer Newsletter. *COMING SOON*

Information for New Starters to our Class

We are aware that there is a class Whatsapp group that has been set up for parents and carers, and whilst school staff do not directly interact with these groups, we know that they can be hugely supportive for day to day memos and reminders. If you have not already been enrolled into this group, please speak to parents in the playground, who will be able to point you in the right direction.

Tapestry is our online learning journal and one way of recording and communicating your child’s progress with you.  We hope you will enjoy seeing what your child has been doing in school and the new skills they have been acquiring and developing.

Please use these photographs as a prompt for talking to your child about what they have been learning in school.

Please also use these photographs as a tool for home learning by building on these skills at home, for example if we upload a photograph of your child practising writing the letter “s” using the correct orientation and formation, please continue to practise and reinforce this learning at home too.

Please add to this learning journal regularly by uploading your own home observations. We would love to see photographs of things your child has achieved at home, for example if they have been trying hard to write their name or ride a bike. Please upload a photograph and a short description. We may even be able to share these achievements with the class on the Interactive Whiteboard, and really celebrate your child's learning.

We also use Tapestry to extend learning in Communication and Language. We ask that you upload photographs of holiday or weekend news that your child may wish to share with their peers.  Having the opportunity to participate in these "Show and Tell" circle time sessions will help tremendously with the children's confidence, self-esteem and language development.

Please follow the instructions in the video below in order to add observations:
